Over the past weekend, we had the opportunity to attend a Theology of the Body (TOB) session on Saturday and Sunday. It was not just an ordinary programme, but a meaningful and eye-opening experience that helped us reflect more deeply on ourselves, our purpose, and how we are called to love and serve others.
One of the key messages that stayed with us was the idea that “God is love, love is us, and us is God.” This reminded us that love is not just a feeling, but something that comes from God and is reflected through our actions towards others. It made us realise that when we show kindness, patience, and respect, we are actually living out God’s love in our daily lives.
During the session, we also learned about the phrase “be fruitful and multiply.” At first, many of us thought it only referred to having a family, but we later understood that it also means living a life that produces goodness, kindness, and positive impact. Being “fruitful” is about becoming better individuals and contributing meaningfully to the people around us.
Another important concept shared was FTFF — Free, Total, Faithful, and Fruitful love. We learned that true love should never be forced (not Force), but freely given. It should be total, meaning we give ourselves sincerely without holding back. It must also be faithful, staying committed and loyal, and fruitful, bringing goodness and growth into our lives and the lives of others. This helped us understand what real, genuine love should look like.
From my (Thashaendraa’s) perspective, the session was a time of deep reflection and personal growth. It helped me realise the importance of living with purpose and being mindful of how my actions affect others. I felt inspired to show more compassion and to become a better version of myself.
Kesmitta found the session to be truly eye-opening. She began to understand the deeper meaning of respecting both herself and others. The discussions and sharing sessions allowed her to see different perspectives, making her more aware of the importance of making wise and meaningful choices in life.
For Yamitra, the TOB session was inspiring and impactful. She initially did not know what to expect, but as the sessions progressed, she became more engaged and interested. She learned that every person has dignity and value, and that we are all created with a purpose. This encouraged her to reflect on her future and the kind of person she wants to become.

To encapsulate, the two days TOB session was a meaningful journey for all of us. It not only taught us important values about love, dignity, and purpose, but also brought us closer together. We walked away with a deeper understanding that true love is free, total, faithful, and fruitful, and that by living out love, we are living out God’s presence in our lives.
