A spirit of anticipation filled the Formation Room at St. Joseph Church, Sentul, as 22 RCIA candidates from St. Joseph Church and Risen Christ Church, embarked on a transformative retreat themed “Faith, Hope, and Love.” Held bilingually in English and Bahasa Malaysia, the retreat took place on March 15th and 16th, providing a crucial stepping stone for these individuals as they prepare for the momentous Sacraments of Initiation.
The retreat was led by Sister Margarete and Brother Jason Wang, who offered valuable insights and guidance to the candidates. Open sharing sessions fostered a sense of community and allowed participants to learn from one another’s experiences.
This retreat served as a crucial preparation for the Easter Vigil, where the candidates will formally embrace their new life in Christ. The retreat served as a powerful reminder of the enduring support and guidance offered by the Church as these candidates continue their journey towards embracing the fullness of their faith in Christ. By the end of the retreat, the candidates emerged with a deeper understanding of their faith, a renewed sense of hope, and a strengthened commitment to their journey towards Baptism, Holy Communion & Confirmation.
