A Journey of Faith : Pilgrimage to the Jubilee Churches of Kuala Lumpur Archdiocese.
Fifty-six pilgrims from St. Joseph Church embarked on a spiritually enriching pilgrimage to Kuala Lumpur Archdiocese’s five chosen Jubilee Churches—[Cathedral of St John The Evangelist – Kuala Lumpur, Church of Immaculate Conception – Port Dickson, Church of Jesus Caritas – Kepong, Church of St Francis of Assisi – Cheras, and Church of St Thomas – Kuantan]—on May 3rd and 4th, 2025, travelling by bus, van, and car.
This Jubilee Year 2025 journey was more than just a series of visits; it was a profound opportunity to deepen our spiritual lives, connect with the rich history of our local Church, and receive the special graces offered during this Jubilee Year.
Our pilgrimage programme included attending Mass, participating in the Sacrament of the Eucharist, a Rosary walk, faith formation sessions, and prayers (Litany to St. Thomas, and Novena to Divine Mercy). We also made time for the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession). We venerated relics, prayed for the Pope’s intentions, learned about stained-glass windows, and admired Fr. Ruth’s art.
We received pilgrimage packs, and our pilgrimage passports were stamped at each church to signify the completion of each visit.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to each parish for their warm hospitality and to the priests who personally enriched our pilgrimage journey through their presence and insights.
We also thank our parish priest, Fr. Frederick Joseph and Msg. James for their support and prayers, and to all who prayed for us, ensuring a successful trip.
The group returned home spiritually refreshed, grateful, and strengthened in faith and community.
