Fr. Victor Renard founded the Chapel of St. Anne in July 1906. On 15 Nov 1908, the Chapel was re-dedicated to St. Joseph. Thus, the beginnings of the Church of St. Joseph were laid. Through the years
Fr. Victor Renard, Fr. Francois Le Mahec, Fr. Noel Deredec, Fr. Victor Hermann and Fr. Louis Guittat pastored the faithful in Sentul until a new Church building through the efforts of the community was completed in Oct 1928. Ten years later in 1938, Fr. Ernest Belet was appointed as the first Parish Priest of the Church of St. Joseph, Sentul, Kuala Lumpur.
