Sentul : Christmas vibes this month kicked off at the Church of St. Joseph, Sentul with a joyful and colourful bazaar set up by the AOHD CBF/TAP GIFT-MED program participants.
About 20 various stalls were put up at the church compound which saw the participants selling Christmas cookies, murrukkus, peanuts, and various delicacies including pickles and ‘sambal’ in jars amongst other ‘eat-and-go’ breakfast items.
About 250 parishioners shopped delightfully at the bazaar and some Christmas-themed handicrafts were sold, one of which, Ann Ramona’s Christmas bag was a huge hit.
Our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Frederick Joseph said the GIFT-MED program brings out the best in people, especially amongst upcoming entrepreneurs, to support and escalate the B40 community. “The bazaar has cheerful vibes and participants are also enthusiastic in carrying out their event,” he said.
Senior citizens Saro Fernandez and Lee Sabat Mory enjoyed the tau foo fah sold by Jenny Kala while parishioners Mr & Mrs John Bosco complimented Angeline Dass’s fruit cocktail and fish pickle made by
Bernadette.
Retiree Baldwin Pereira, 86, grabbed some of his favorite ginger biscuits and chocolate cookies from Linda’s stall today.
“The cookies are scrumptious and crunchy, I bought some to bring back home to share with my grandkids,” he said.
Kudos to the participants and a huge thank you to all who supported the Bazaar.
