On the serene morning of Sunday, July 7, 2024, St. Joseph Church celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga with a remarkable event that brought together individuals from various communities to embrace the practice of yoga and promote holistic well-being. The event commenced at 11 a.m. with an opening prayer led by Rev. Fr. Frederick Joseph, setting a spiritual tone for the day ahead.

The launch of the event by Rev. Fr. Frederick Joseph marked the beginning of a series of captivating performances showcasing the diversity and beauty of yoga practices. Attendees were treated to a mesmerising display of Praise Yoga, Dance Yoga, Self-Defense Yoga, Partner Yoga, Synchronized Yoga, Zumba Yoga, and more. Each performance reflected different yoga styles’ unique essences and benefits, captivating the audience with grace and harmony.
Approximately 200 individuals, including participants from St. Joseph Church Sentul, St. Theresa Church Nilai, and guests from outside the community, gathered to partake in this enriching experience. Among the distinguished guests were Rev. Fr. Frederick Joseph, representatives from the Archdiocese Mental Health Ministry, Joshua and Reena, and two representatives from the Global Unity Network Organization. Their presence added a touch of significance and unity to the event, emphasizing the importance of mental and physical well-being in today’s fast-paced world.
The event served as a platform for individuals to come together, connect, and rejuvenate their minds, bodies, and spirits through the practice of yoga exercises. It was a testament to the power of community and the transformative effects of yoga in promoting overall health and wellness. Almost 17 new achievers received their International Yoga Instructor Certificate of Completion on this day. For those who attended, they received certificates of participation.
